Course Description
This course will mainly focus on a set of representations that are computed in the course of cognitive performance and language processing. It introduces the mutual fertilization of general linguistics for many of its theoretical constructs and provides external evidence that aphasiology is liable to provide including the current developments of linguistic theory. It will also introduce the methodologies on how to collect/organize data from speech errors and aphasic speech and how to run experimental elicited tasks in order to reduce ambiguities.

1 term project: 40%
For the term project you will select a topic which interests you and do background research on the issues involving speech errors or aphasic errors in relation to models of speech production planning and execution or to any linguistic theory. You will have to either collect the data on your own or design an experiment to test some aspect(s) of the issues and run a pilot study. Your project will include both a review of the literature and a discussion of your study.
